LMT GivingTuesdayNow 2020
Hey there, we miss you! We figure you might share our feelings of loss in not being together--to laugh, cry, sing, dance, and share wonderful stories from the Lyric stage. We hope you are staying healthy and safe, finding ways to connect with others, and making life work in this challenging new world. On GivingTuesdayNow, we want to give thanks for you and ask for your help!
Lyric had a wonderful season underway until the recent health crisis and we miss seeing all of you, our patrons, performers, musicians and volunteers. Much of the theater’s mission is driven by ticket sales and while we cannot currently put on a show for you, we hope that you will show us your support for future performances with a gift of a $25 "heart-ticket” – or whatever you can manage.
The generosity of our community helps Lyric sustain mission-critical initiatives, such as:
- Accessibility Fund: We bring our community theater to everyone in our community through ASL-interpreted performances; discounted rates for senior and student audiences; and our free-of-charge Sensory-Friendly performance.
- Children’s Theater Workshop Support: Our growing theater program for young performers is both popular and affordable for area families. With help from our Lyric friends, we aim to keep the program financially accessible, so more kids who love theater can learn about and celebrate performing!
- Operational Health: Our shortened 2020 season, while necessary, means that we must pay the ongoing bills for the building and the program on a much-tightened budget! Your donation helps ensure we are performance-ready on day one when we are able to reopen.
Thank you for remembering why we all love theater. Even though Lyric is dark and our season has ended too soon, we will be back. We appreciate your consideration and ongoing support. Best health and hopes for the future to you and those you care about.
